Friday’s Favorite Five: The Best Unique Cat Trees (1/20/17)

Friday's Favorite Five: The Best Unique Cat Trees. Cats love to be in high places. You may see your cat up on the counter, windowsill, high cabinet, or even on your refrigerator. Being high allows a cat to view his world from a relatively safe location. Maybe the reason cats want to be high up is from their ancestral days, when they climbed trees to escape other predators or to hunt their prey from concealment. Although the house cat does not have to hunt his prey, some do still enjoy the security of being high, especially when under stress from their home environment. For today's Friday's Favorite Five, I thought it would be fun to highlight five fun and modern cat trees.

  1. I’ve never had a cat, but I’ve always loved browsing cat trees! It’s so cool how many options there are. It’s an additional piece of (functional) furniture in your home, so it might as well look good! I love the modular cube one — so much fun! Reminds me of something you would find in IKEA.

  2. I think Noodle would like the Cat Haven Condo because she could hide and chew the leaves. But it would have to be the large size so she could hide up high from Chip! They’re all really nice trees!

  3. We featured the Lotus cat tree in our Deluxe Christmas Gifts for the cat who has everything! It is gorgeous and would be an asset is the most design conscious home! Ours would adore the Pet Club one – such an inspired idea – and it would be brilliant for indoor cats too!!

These are a lot of fun – if I was rich I would buy every single ONE!!

  4. The Lotus Cat Tree would be my pick. I’ve actually been looking for a new cat tree for the cats – their carpeted one is finally starting to fall apart after 5 years of solid use. Sadly, many of these trees aren’t available in Australia, or the cost is prohibitive.

    1. The Lotus one is very nice. Darn, about Australia. Maybe if you personally contact the designer…

  5. I think my choice would be the redwood – second to last picture. Though they all look very nice! We had a wonderful custom made cat tree, but unfortunately it fell apart during our last move.

  6. Wow, these are so stunning THEY MAKE ME WANT TO BE A CAT!! Any of these would make a Kitty’s tail spin! They’re like a beautiful piece of furniture or a work of art. Love them all!
    Love & biscuits,

    1. Thanks. It’s so nice that companies are not only thinking about the needs of our pets, but ours too. 🙂

  7. These cat trees are really pawsome! Cat trees have come such a long way. I think my cats would love all of these. I can’t choose a favorite! Since my kitties will be needing a new cat tree very soon, I will have to keep these in mind.

  8. The Lotus cat tree is so cool. I was thinking about a gift for our local rescue that I volunteer at and honestly these are ALL amazing. I like PetDwell’s too. If I was a cat parent I would want to try all of these. What a great review!

    1. Wow! A cat tree would be such an amazing gift for your cat rescue. Very kind.

  9. Wow, these are some interesting cat trees! My cat is unique in that he doesn’t like to climb, but I can see how other cats would love these. I like the all wood one best, but I think cats would rather have one with privacy.

  10. Go Pet Club is really a unique cat trees as I found it after research on many review site. Like you most of the well-known blogger recommend this one. I think is the most beautiful cat trees I found ever 🙂 but the problem is to me that it needs more space, what you think?
