Happy National Monkey Day: Wordless Wednesday Style

Happy National Monkey Day from Dexter The Dog. Dexter is a silly Cavalier that loves to act like a goof.
Silly Dog

Silly Monkey.   That is what I say to Dexter The Dog almost daily.  Monkey is just one of his pet names.  I never knew there was a holiday celebrating his silliness.  Happy National Monkey Day!

  1. Chip is ChippyDoodle Chip n’ Dip, Chiparoo, and a few others. Noodle is Nikki Noodle, Noodle-oodle, Little Miss Hissy fit, or Sassy Pants. Dexter’s pic made me chuckle today! Thanks for sharing him!

  2. My mom tells Madison all the time that she is the monkey on Bailie’s back because she is always crawling on Bailie! Happy monkey day!

  3. So many! Mia is Meezy, Mimi, Mimi Bear, Mia B, Meezy B… Leo is Leo Bug, Buggie, Bug Boy…

    Your monkey is very cute.

  4. What a great picture! My babes all have many names. We call one of our cats Monkey because from behind he has a monkey’s gait.

  5. Oh my gosh, I love that sock monkey hat more than I can say. I call Max “my big boy” and “my cuddly boy” he weighs in at just over 100 pounds and can’t resist a cuddle.

  6. That is such a cute hat! I can see why he got the name Monkey. 🙂 My Manna’s nickname is “B”. It started as “Manna Banana”, but we got lazy and it ended up just being “B”. So far, my Dexter gets called “Little Dude” and “Little Man”.

  7. Wait, what? There’s an entire day devoted to monkeys! I missed that one!

I sometimes call my two “monkey” as well. But more often than not, they are “nuts” or “nutty” or “kids.” Says more about them than it does about me, I suppose!

  8. Haha! I love that pic and Dexter’s Monkey nickname. Haley usually gets food names like “pumpkin pie” or “sweet pea”, lol!

  9. Aww, Dexter makes an adorable silly monkey! I didn’t know there was a day dedicated to monkeys, thats sweet!
