Happiest when traveling with my dog

58 thoughts on “Top Dog-Friendly Luxury Hotels and Pet-Friendly 5 Star Boutique Hotels

  1. We are always keeping an eye out for places that we can also bring our dog too. I will save this list for our travels. Our dog also loved a hotel we stayed at in Cambridg, MA.

  2. This is great, my mother in law has a dog and she is always looking for places to either leave her dog or to take the dog with her. I’ll pass this article to her.

  3. Wow, these hotels look absolutely awesome! This list would be really helpful for the dog owners who are looking for a decent place to stay with their furry friends when traveling. Thank you for sharing this!

  4. Wow! Those pet friendly hotel are amazing! Never thought it could be great! Would love to stay just for a day here evenI don’t have a pet. Just kidding. xoxo

  5. What a great list! I don’t have a dog but have many friends who do and finding hotels that are pet friendly can be a challenge. I will have to share this with them.

  6. This is a great comprehensive list. We have an aging Siberian Husky and having her travel with us is important. We’d love to visit one of the hotels on this list with her!

  7. We just took a small vacation and I didn’t want to leave my cat behind, lol. I know cats like alone time, but this was the first time we had a sitter only coming to check on her once over the weekend. I was nervous. I wish hotels let cats come too. 😉

  8. I love learning about pet-friendly places to stay. I have a pug and don’t really travel, but when I do, I like to know there are options so I can bring her along.

  9. I super like those places/hotels that are pet-friendly because I had a problem with a friend and her dog while we were in Manhattan. Great review though/

  10. I love that there are so many dog friendly hotels these days. We never take our dog on holiday just because it wouldn’t be fair to him to be stuck in all day if we were out, but I would consider it on shorter breaks!

  11. Oh wow, I didn’t know hotels where becoming so dog friendly, this is wonderful news for travelers with pets! I hope to get a dog int he future so this is useful to know.

  12. I’m so glad that more and more hotels these days are becoming dog-friendly. It’s just sad when we have to leave our dogs just because some places doesn’t allow them.

  13. What a helpful article! I never really thought about dog friendly hotels before, but I can see how important it is for dog owners! I just love that image above of the 2 gorgeous dogs with their tea cups and biscuits!

  14. I love this list! I had no idea so many luxury hotels allowed dogs. I worked at a hotel about 20 years ago and Oprah was trying to check-in with her two dogs. The front desk person turned her away as the hotel had a policy against dogs. She talked about it on her show the following week and said that she left our hotel to go and stay with Maya Angelou who she was in town visiting for her birthday. Our hotel changed its policy after the show aired and wrote her a letter of apology. LOL

  15. I love the idea that so many hotels are now designed to host comfortably both pets and people together; people with pets have special needs and it’s often hard for them to feel welcomed also in structures where pets are “allowed”. These rooms are great.
