Who doesn’t like pies? OK, to be honest, I’m personally more of a cake person. A rich, dark, gooey chocolate cake with caramel or raspberries would fit the bill. But, today is National Pie Day. I thought it would be a good day to share this Pomegranate and Butternut Squash Pie recipe from my book Dexter’s Delights: Fun and Healthy Treats for Dogs.

  1. Yum-I think Kilo the pug would love this healthy homemade treat. I make him treats quite regularly. We made dog-friendly pumpkin pie and turkey mutt loaf for Thanksgiving and Christmas and he was one very happy pup.

    1. Honestly, I’m not a good cook or baker either. But, when they are made with love, it just seems easier. 🙂

    1. It’s really a nice pie and full of great vitamins and antioxidants. Pomegranate is another power food!
