Thank you, Mom and Riley’s Organics for my next review. There is nothing wrong with taste-testing healthy dog treats, especially when they are organic! Riley’s Organics was kind enough to send me some Riley’s Organics-Sweet Potato Dog Treats to try out. I could smell the goodness straight from the bag of Riley’s Organics-Sweet Potato Dog Treats. Hmmm mmm mmm good. I think it was the organic cinnamon and organic peanut flour that was radiating from the bag. Any time now, Mom! I’d love to get a taste.

Mom finally unzipped the pouch, and more sweet smells filled the air. Ahh, the smell of organic dog treats. You gotta love that! These Riley’s Organics treats were shaped like small bones. Perfect size for a tasty delight for dog training. What? Mom, you really don’t have to break the small treat in half. There you have it. They also break easily into two small pieces.

Riley’s Organics-Sweet Potato Dog Treats were nice and crunchy. Even the 1/2 treats crunched up. I wanted to take my time and devour the flavor and not swallow it. They were mighty tasty! I still get excited when Mom pulls out the bag to give me another taste treat.

Time to take a peek at Riley’s Organics to check out the goodness and health factor. Riley’s Organics are sourced and produced in the U.S.A. Their factory is in Illinois. They produce in the heartland so they can source as many ingredients as possible from the farmers nearby to reduce their carbon footprint. 100% human grade ORGANIC ingredients that are USDA Certified. Riley’s Organics does NOT have wheat, corn, soy, pesticides, preservatives, added sugar, added salt, or animal by-products. Sounds great! No wonder they are so flavorful.

Bring on the snacks! Yup, I love the healthy dog treat reviews Mom has been having me do this week. There’s nothing wrong with eating some tasty food for my paycheck. Max & Ruffy’s was kind enough to send me some bags of their USDA Organic Dog Treats. You heard me right, ORGANIC DOG TREATS!

Organic Dog Treats Review
Max & Ruffy’s Organic Dog Treats

Mom always does her best to feed me organic home-cooked dog meals and organic dog treats whenever possible. Organic foods do not use harmful insecticides, fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, antibiotics, growth hormones, radiation, or other detrimental ingredients or practices. That said, you still need to be careful about labeling and read the ingredients carefully.

Max & Ruffy’s offers your companion a selection of uncompromised, eco-friendly dog treats using only the freshest 100% organic, non-genetically modified organisms (non-GMO), and human-grade ingredients. Max & Ruffy’s treats are made using 100% certified organic human-grade ingredients sourced from socially responsible companies. Their line of oven-baked organic dog treats includes both wheat-free dog treats and grain-free dog treats. Max & Ruffy’s does not use any animal ingredients in any of their products in order to supply the very best vegetarian dog treats and vegan dog treats on the market. That sounds pretty cool, doesn’t it?

Not only are these organic dog treats healthy, but they also are delicious! I’m not sure where to begin because Max & Ruffy’s sent me more than one flavor. They sent Banana & Coconut, Coconut, Molasses & Flax, Strawberry & Carob, Five Star Blueberry, and Quinoa & Pumpkin! My little taste buds went into overdrive, and I liked it.

Organic Dog Treat Sizes

They also sent over their organic dog treats in two sizes: Original Bites and Mini Bites. I, of course, prefer the larger Original Bites, but I think Mom likes the smaller ones for smaller rewards. She even had the audacity to break one of the larger organic dog treats into four smaller pieces! She can be such a party pooper. Mom tried to figure out which flavor I liked best, but it’s really a bit of a draw. However, I do go for the Five Star Blueberry and Quinoa & Pumpkin first more often. But they all are tasty, and I would never snub any of the flavors. You can’t really go wrong with any of their options.

  • Banana & Coconut Ingredients: Organic Buckwheat Flour, Organic Banana, Organic Coconut, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Cinnamon
  • Coconut, Molasses & Flax Ingredients: Organic Buckwheat Flour, Organic Coconut, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Blackstrap Molasses, Organic Flax Seed powder
  • Strawberry & Carob Ingredients: Organic Brown Rice Flour, Organic Strawberry, Organic Carob Bean, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Maca
  • Quinoa & Pumpkin IngredientsOrganic Pumpkin, Organic Brown Rice Flour, Organic Quinoa Flour, Organic Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Cinnamon, Organic Nutmeg, Organic Cloves (all ingredients are certified organic)

Pros: 100% organic ingredients, cruelty-free vegan, no artificial coloring, flavor enhancers, additives or harmful preservatives, lots of flavors to choose from, 2 treat sizes available
Cons: Might not be enough of a motivator for dog training in distractions, would love to see a soft variety

Max & Ruffy’s Natural Organic Treats For Dogs is a total win in my book!
Thank you again, Max & Ruffy, for allowing me to sample and review your tasty snacks.

Once again Mom is trying to find me healthy dog food and dog treats to eat. So, she came up with this healthy dog treat recipe. I have to admit, I thought beans might not be so tasty as a dog treat, but boy, was I wrong! These healthy dog treats are very tasty and healthy too. They are soft and easily fit inside a rubber dog toy such as Kong or Rita. Mom froze the batch and just takes 2 out at a time for me.
