Healthy Dog Treat Recipe: Frozen Apple Pie Dog Treat

Dexter and I are huge fans of using hollow, rubber toys and filling them with goodies and freezing them. This is a great way to keep a dog busy and a wonderful way for a dog to chew on the right things. I recommend using all dog treat, chew and dog food calories towards a dog’s daily caloric intake, in order to keep a dog lean.

Below is a low-calorie hollow toy Stuffing Recipe. This will fill more than one hollow toy. You can fill a bunch of toys and freeze, fill some doggy ice cube trays, or place some of the mix in glass containers and freeze for later. The options are endless.

Apple Pie Dog Smoothie Ingredients

1 Apple (remove core and seeds)
1/2 TBSP Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Ground Clove
4 TBSP Water

Directions

Puree all ingredients together
Fill favorite toy or ice cube tray
Freeze
Serve and enjoy
