1. Great products Tonya! I’ll be honest, I never have active dogs because I adopt the old ones with issues. Having said that we just fostered a young Podenco (a Spanish hunting dog), and the 5 hours of walks she got a day was nowhere near enough for her. She would have benefited from the pulling activity harness (as would I because I wouldn’t have to do anything!!) and probably the scent kit. A little “eau de rabbit” and she’d be having a blast.

   1. The scent kit is a great mental activity for older dogs too! I’m working on a special needs list. 🙂

2. I love all the items, honestly! But the one thats strikes me the most is the Omnijore Joring System. My Django is an active Lab and would love that one (although I might be frightened!). She adores the snow and I can imagine if I had a good deal of space, it would be lots of fun on snow days. My kids would love that for sure, too!

   1. That’s awesome! Omnijore looks like so much fun. My boy would be too small. lol

4. These are some great products. I’ve always want to get the Goldens some sore of agility kit for our backyard and this looks like a great one! I can see us having a lot of fun with that once the warmer weather finally gets here. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

5. I do nosework with Mr. N occasionally and lots and lots of tricks! Got to work on his pivot.

   1. Awesome! We do a pivot on a foam block for Dexter’s hind end awareness.

6. I am dying to try nosework with Lulu. Which makes sense since she is a beagle! lol I would like to try agility with Jasmine too. Jasmine likes everything but the tunnel. She backs away from it. I just haven’t had the time, and I’ve been dealing with Jasmine’s reactivity.

7. Lol! Ruby is not what you would call an active dog. She’s quite chill and happy to nap all day. She does enjoy leisurely walks and trips places, but she’s also happy to just snuggle. We do have that 101 Dog Tricks book which is lots of fun

   1. Nosework is another low-impact game. Ruby might enjoy that too. 🙂

9. Great items and ideas, Layla is an older dog so although she loves her long walks, beach time, she is not as active as younger ones, but I do make sure she gets lots of exercise. Thanks for the post

   1. Sure thing. The nosework kit and tricks books are great options for all ages and mobility.

10. Love most of these. Kilo needs bursts of activity. We do agility and have that trick book. His squishy face does not seem ideal for scent work, but we do play go find with treats and he LOVES that.

11. There are so many nice things for dogs, compared to even a few years ago. It’s like someone turned on a light and said yeah, we CAN have fun dog stuff!

12. My biggest pet peeve is that the assumption is always that active dogs are big dogs. I would love to have an agility set I could put up in our place to help with the super long winter’s or out in the park but I find that the more affordable “portable” ones don’t come in the sizes needed for the under 5 pound gang. grrrrr…..

    1. hmmm I’ve had small chihuahuas in my agility for fun classes doing the agility course. Agility courses are set by the height of a dog’s wither’s. The biggest challenge I’ve seen is them getting a performance teeter to drop. Affordable Agility here offers mini obstacles for teacups, might be worth a look.

13. We had that agility set when Kol was younger (before he was diagnosed with IVDD) and we absolutely loved it. It was so handy to have it at home and be able to play with it away fromt he discipline of agilty class!

    1. Sorry about KoI’s IVDD. Maybe the scent or tricks would be a good choice for him now.

16. The dog that I had as a child would have loved that pulling harness! I remember how she would pull my sister and me in our little red wagon. She pulled us on our bikes a lot too. My heart always swells up a bit when I think of her. 🙂

17. This is so fabulous! My Husky Icy & I use a bike Leash to go go bike riding together. It really burns energy, for both of us! That skijoring set is just the thing for us! I was looking for that & for a place to skijor with her this Winter!

18. All of these products sound great for active dogs! I don’t have an active dog, but I do have a couple of adventure cats and one that I think I’m going to try to start working with for cat agility. I wonder if the agility equipment you mentioned would work for that. Will look into it!

19. Great items for keeping dogs active. I try to keep Truffle and Brulee active with the laser and wand toys.
