Dog Birthday Homemade Pupcakes
To celebrate Dexter’s 12th birthday, I made him a dog-friendly cake. Well, maybe not a homemade dog cake, but healthy, natural homemade pupcakes.

Frosting Instructions.
  1. If you choose to make the frosting, prepare it at least three hours before the cake. Keep in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use. In a food processor, mix chia seeds, fruit, honey, and water. Pulse until smooth. Place in the refrigerator for at least three hours to set up. Honey for dogs over 6 months.
Pupcakes
  1. Preheat oven to 280 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Lightly grease your cupcake pan with coconut oil.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine coconut flour, egg yolks, fruit, and goat’s milk. Mix until smooth. Set aside.
  4. Next, place egg whites in a clean, dry mixing bowl. Mix on medium speed for four or five minutes as you slowly add the cream of tartar.
  5. Gently fold 1/2 your egg white mixture into your flour mixture. Fold in the remaining egg white mixture.
  6. Fill your cupcake pan 3/4 full with your dog-cake batter.
  7. Place in oven and bake approximately 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Move pupcakes and allowed to fully cool.
  8. Once they are cool, spread with your frosting or serve unfrosted.
