Toledo Metro Positive Dog Training in Your Home
Customized to meet your dog training goals.
Dog training and teaching a dog a new set of behaviors can take a lot of time, patience, and good timing. When you book a private dog training package you have the option of adding training sessions where I come out and train your dog alone.
These private dog training sessions are quite different from a local board and train dog-training service. Instead of leaving your dog in someone’s care for weeks at a time, your dog will be provided customized and positive (no choke, prong, shock, or scare techniques EVER used) dog-training session to meet your current dog or puppy-training goals. 60-mile radius Toledo, OH
Private sessions will take place in your home while you are at work or running errands. Each positive dog-training session will be recorded and uploaded for your viewing in addition to training notes, your training homework, and a progress sheet. Dog-training outings to the park, pet store, and other outings are available on a case-by-case basis.
Private dog-training session goals range from confidence building to dog tricks, manners, loose leash walking, focus and attention, behavior cues such as sit, down, stay, and come when called.
Dogs enrolled in the program are available on a case by case basis and only when individual private training sessions are taking place. Success is dependent on the follow-up work you provide with your dog to keep the skills and improve on the skills taught.
Packages start at 6 sessions. Contact me today for a customized dog training package to meet your needs and goals.
Training for confidence, not agility.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Tonya for the past 8 years. I first met her during a beginner class for my Havanese. There I was able to acquire the skills to teach my dog’s basic good manners. Later, I had a private consultation for my first Havanese due to some reactivity issues. She was able to help me overcome these. For the past 3 years, she has been working with me and my foster failure Sora. Initially, Sora and I took a beginner class. As he became more comfortable in my home I noticed that he would become anxious and developed some reactivity.
Tonya began working with Sora and myself at my home. As we began to make progress Tonya began to come for one on one sessions with Sora. This was to help build his confidence. She records the sessions so that I may learn the tricks and footwork he is learning and practice. This has made a tremendous difference in our lives. Sora is now awesome on a leash. He recovers quickly when startled and no longer patrols the fence. I would highly recommend Tonya Wilhelm for your dog’s training needs.” ~Kristie H.
