I’m really loving these dog treat, dog chews, and dog food reviews! I’m digging these reviews. Dr. Harvey’s was kind enough to send me some great, healthy dog treats, dog food, and dog grooming products to review. Today it’s all about their Oracle Complete Dog Food-Tripe.
Mom talked with my veterinarian food therapist prior to giving me this new food. I’m on a home-cooked, primarily organic diet, (now raw) so Mom wanted to check to see how my belly would hold up to a food switch for a day. My holistic vet felt the ingredients were along the same lines I’m used to getting and she didn’t think the fact that it was a raw diet would bother me. She just wanted to confirm that Mom would continue to give me my regular probiotics and supplements. The other precaution Mom took (she can be a bit of a germaphobe) was that she made me eat my food on a towel and washed the towel when I was done eating.
Ok, now that we got that out of the way. Come on Mom, let’s try this out already. Mom decided I would first try my new Dr. Harvey’s Oracle Complete Dog Food-Tripe like a regular meal, out of my dog bowl. At first, I looked at it, sniffed it, then hesitantly tasted it. Oh. What was I waiting for? It tasted great! So I gobbled the remaining dog food up, licked my dog bowl clean, and licked my lips. I looked up at Mom, but she said that was it for the moment.
Later that day Mom let me try the Dr. Harvey’s Oracle Dog Food in my Kong Quest Bone after she froze it. (To learn how to freeze hollow dog toys, read this article). That was another great taste treat! Mom let me finish the remaining Oracle up the following day. She still wanted to make sure I ate my regular home-cooked diet and didn’t switch me over all in one day. But no belly aches, and I’m sure I would have done just fine.
Because I travel a lot with Mom and bringing my home-cooked dog meals or cooking on dog vacations can be challenging, Mom is thinking about using Dr. Harvey’s Oracle Dog Food as my meals for our trips. They even have travel-size bags. I think that sounds like a good plan.
I’m sure you want to learn about the specs for Dr. Harvey’s Oracle Complete Dog Food, and that’s a good thing. You want to make sure you are feeding your pup a healthy and safe diet.
