Friday’s Favorite Five: Safe and Fun Pet Halloween Costumes
Halloween is just around the corner! That means a lot of dogs and cats will be dressing up for the holiday. Oh, but that is not always so good. Dog and cat Halloween costumes can be torture devices if you do not choose carefully. Pick something that fits properly, make sure your pet can see from all angles, and ensure that itβs easy to move in. It may not go well if your pet is not used to wearing clothing. Unless a pet has been introduced to costumes or clothing from a young age, he will likely shut down when wearing a pet Halloween costume. So, please consider your pet’s feelings first. If they are not costume wearers, then YOU get to be the one decked out, and your pet gets to play your trusty side-kick. If your pet does enjoy a good outfit, consider these five pet Halloween costumes.
Casual Canine Glow Skeleton Zombie Dog Costume: This adorable 2-piece set features a glow-in-the-dark skeleton top with attached layered skirt along with matching veil. This wrap-around dog dress allows movement of a dog’s legs and is made of a light fabric.
Glow-in-the-dark Casual Canine I’m So Corny Tee: Now pets can proudly proclaim their candy corniness with this soft pet t-shirt.
Superman Dog CostumeΒ is the perfect costume for your pet to wear while saving the day!Β This costume features a chest piece adorned with Superman’s signature S-shield pattern, which is also printed on the back of the cape. The cape drapes comfortably around your dog’s collar in a way that still allows your pup to walk freely and comfortably.
Zack & Zoey Sequin Devil Dog CostumeΒ is sinfully cute and cozy! This features adjustable Velcro straps at neck and body for a comfortable and secure fit. It also come with the classic devil horns that your pet may or may not wear.
Dog bandana decorated with official sports team primary logo. Dog bandana features a sewn-in loop to slide over dog collar and is constructed in micro mesh polyester. Most dogs will usually tolerate a bandana.

Omg the top skeleton one is so popular as we featured it on our blog also.
Great picks
haha Thanks. First one in search results, good SEO. π
These costumes are so cute! I love the “I’m so corny” one.
haha Ya, that one is creative.
Great dog costumes – love the superman one especially!
Yes. And that dog is adorable.
Echo has a Batman costume! He does not mind wearing it at all. He doesn’t even seem to really notice it.
That’s awesome. Batman is a great Superhero! I bet Echo is adorable in it.
I am a sucker for dog costumes!!! and I’m lucky i have a crazy dog that likes dressing up! π
Hahaha It sure is fun having a dog who enjoys a good costume party.
Great costumes and great tips. They can be pretty uncomfortable for some pups to wear, definitely important to consider. A bandana or Halloween collar are easy to handle alternatives for the less cooperative.
Thanks, Hindy. Yes, we always need to think about our pets and how they feel. Thanks!
Love them and only wish Layla would wear one π
Oh, but then you get to dress up instead! Maybe she can be Toto. Or a fancy collar and leash.
I love the doggie zombie costume! We are going out this afternoon for my daughter and dog’s costume. Haven’t really decided on which costume yet. We will see what is available.
Have a fun shopping trip!
Cookie’s preference is to go dressed up in deer poop π
Haha Oh, no! Maybe dress her in camouflage. ;0
OMGEEE Love! That little devil costume is my favorite!
π It is super cute. I love capes.
These are so cute! The devil dog is really funny. Since my kitties won’t be going outdoors and trick-or-treating is not allowed in my apartment complex, I don’t have plans to dress them up. It would be fun, though! Instead, we’ll just have some treats and relax with a spooky movie together. π
That sounds like a relaxing night and a good plan.
Very cute costumes. I love looking at dogs dressed up but you are right, you need to consider your dog. Kilo likes running naked best and will only wear very comfy light things that are easy to get on and off. He doesn’t mind the Superman costume and looks adorable. He also has a devil one which suits him sometimes LOL. This year we have tried a Mountie which looked good but was a bit hot for the Pugoween Pug Rescue Party inside, and now a Darth Vader costume I am adapting for him.
Pugoween! Love it. We went to a Cavoweeen party. π
We think we like the Superman costume the best.
Super Kitties? π
How cute! We take our sister trick or treating, this will be her last year. π
<3 Live it up!
They are all cute! As a former cowgirl, my Huskies were characters from the Wild West that I’m recycling again this year as it’s my favorite!
Oh, I bet that was adorable. I wish there was an upload here…
Oh my gosh these are all so cute! Great post!
π Thanks!
We’re watching Halloween movies and hanging out. Pretty low key. We need to buy candy for the “children,” we usually never have any visit so the bf eats the candy!
There’s nothing wrong with leftover candy. Scary movies sound fun!
These are adorable! I love the little skeleton one!
I like that one a lot too!
I love these, especially the sequined devil and the pretty skeleton! I really like the glow in the dark aspect of some costumes, great safety feature. My dogs are great about wearing costumes, they know it means treats! We have BIG pre-Halloween plans which I’ll be blogging about next weekend. I haven’t decided which costumes they should wear – I wanted to make one but of course it’s 7 days before and I never got around to it.
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Time has a way of sneaking up on you! That sounds like a lot of fun.
We haven’t decided on if we’re going to do costumes this year, but these are some great ideas!
π Thanks.
