I’m loving all the edible dog reviews Mom has been letting me do lately. They sure do beat the dog grooming reviews! Today I’m going to talk about K-9 Kraving Dog Cookies-Duck. K-9 Kraving was very generous and donated some K-9 Kraving Dog Cookies and bully sticks for me to review. But onto the duck treats.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “the dog’s nose knows.” Well, that is certainly true when the delivery man brings a package full of dog treats, dog food or dog chews. Once again, I was all over this box when Mom brought it into the house. There is just no getting by me when there is food involved. So just what exactly was I going to get to taste today? Mom pulled out a pretty big bag of something that smelled delicious. I could read that the bag had K-9 Cookies-Duck. What? You don’t believe me? Yes, I can read; it’s one of my many talents. Now back to my review. Mom let me sniff the bag while she took some photos. Finally, she unsealed the bag of K-9 Kraving Dog Cookies-Duck treats and pulled out one pretty big dog treat!

When she did, my eyes got really big. Was Mom going to let me eat the whole thing? She let me smell the treat first before telling me I could eat it. Oh, and it smelled very good.

Anytime Mom!

YUM!
Once I tasted the K-9 Kraving Dog Cookies-Duck I was in heaven. The rich flavor of duck always delights my taste buds. Once again Mom chose a “cooling meat,” since it is summer here. They were crunchy, but easily chewed and devoured. Mom broke one of the treats into 10 smaller treats. I hate it when she does this! I want the entire treat, not “training treats.” They do have quite a good aroma and pack a lot of flavor into each cookie. I bet a lot of dogs could use this treat as a high-value treat for dog training.

So now let’s take a look at the ingredients and good stuff about K-9 Kraving Dog Cookies-Duck treats. K-9 Kraving is USDA inspected, manufactured at their own plant in Maryland, on-site packaging, industrial refrigeration, freezing and dry storage space. They import federally regulated Elk (farm raised) from Canada, as well as whole fresh Mackerel; all other proteins, vegetables and supplement mix, are born, bred and raised/manufactured in the USA. K-9 Cookies come in a variety of flavors and are nutritionally enhanced with modest portions of essential vitamins, minerals and trace minerals. K-9 Kraving Cookies dog treats are free of preservatives, dyes, added sugars, cereal grains, glutens, nitrates, chemicals, and soluble carbohydrates.

K-9 Kraving Dog Cookies-Duck Treat Ingredients: duck, egg powder, psyllium seed husks, linseed meal, sunflower meal, tomato pomace, kelp and vitamins and trace minerals. That’s some good stuff!

Pros: USA and Canadian only meats, made in the USA at their own plant, high-value reward for dog training, did not crumble in pocket, healthy treat, very enjoyable

Cons: For a dog treat I could have done without the minerals.

I give K-9 Kraving Dog Cookies-Duck treats a big paws up. Thank you again, K-9 Kraving, for your samples for my review. Yummo~
