Traveling with Dogs, Vacations with Dogs

Dog-Friendly Canada, Dog-Friendly Cobourg, Ontario, Dog-Friendly Eganville, Ontario

This past week we went for our trip to Canada! I really love going there; it’s such a nice, relaxing place to spend a week. Our first stop was dog-friendly Cobourg, Ontario. We spent the day touring Cobourg and going for a walk on Lake Ontario; it was quite fun. We stayed at a wonderful inn, The Breakers. You should check it out if you are in the area.

The next morning we finished our drive and arrived at our destination…..Constant Lake in Eganville, Ontario!

We spent the rest of our vacation at the dog-friendly cabin, going on dog-friendly day trips, and just lounging around. Even though it rained for most of our trip off and on, we still had a blast!

No dog-friendly boat rides for me this trip, just a bit too cold for my liking. However, Mom and Eddie went out to try to catch some fish! We also celebrated Eddie’s birthday, not too sure how old he is, but I think I gave him at least one kiss for each year.

On the days I got to wade in the water, Mom always dried me off, put on my fleece dog coat and I snuggled up in my favorite chair. But, as always my favorite thing was hunting frogs with Mom. We didn’t have too much luck this time, but she did seem to find me a few to play with! I’m still not sure how she does it, but I’m hoping to learn!

Unfortunately, our time at the cabin came to a close, and we had to head back home. Luckily for me, we will have another Canadian Vacation in July! I think I must be one of the luckiest dogs out there! Until next time……~Dex
