Silly Monkey. That is what I say to Dexter The Dog almost daily. Monkey is just one of his pet names. I never knew there was a holiday celebrating his silliness. Happy National Monkey Day!

Oh my gosh, I love that sock monkey hat more than I can say. I call Max “my big boy” and “my cuddly boy” he weighs in at just over 100 pounds and can’t resist a cuddle.

That is such a cute hat! I can see why he got the name Monkey. 🙂 My Manna’s nickname is “B”. It started as “Manna Banana”, but we got lazy and it ended up just being “B”. So far, my Dexter gets called “Little Dude” and “Little Man”.
Thanks. Little Dude is cute. However, my Dexter is also Little Man! It’s kind of a play on his size. First, he’s a downsized dog for me, so he always seems little. BUT, he’s about double his breed standard, so then he’s big. 😉

I sometimes call my two “monkey” as well. But more often than not, they are “nuts” or “nutty” or “kids.” Says more about them than it does about me, I suppose!
